Prior to joining Mondopoint, Jim spent 16+ years at SurePayroll (acquired by Paychex) leading the organization’s software development team throughout SurePayroll’s journey from pre-revenue to successful exist through assimilation within Paychex. During his tenure at SurePayroll, Jim and his team delivered industry disrupting and innovative technical solutions most notably the following industry firsts: web-based payroll services solution, real-time payroll calculations, online delivery of W2s and mobile payroll application. Additionally, Jim integrated SurePayroll’s SaaS platform with several highly regulated financial organizations including Wells Fargo, SunTrust and Citibank to provide a private-label payroll solution for the small business customers at those organizations. Similarly, Jim delivered a turn-key, white-label payroll solution for CPAs and small-midsized banks. Most recently, Jim served as SurePayroll’s Director of Application Development overseeing the team’s agile transition and the software delivery of six agile teams.

Prior to SurePayroll, Jim was president and founder of Bottom Line Associates providing custom software solutions to a clientele of small businesses across a variety of industries. Jim also worked as a consultant and developer at Systemetrics Software Solutions (acquired by Medline Industries) also custom software solutions to a clientele of small businesses.

Earlier in his career, Jim worked as a consultant and data analyst at ZS Associates. While at ZS Associates, Jim consulted with some of the largest pharmaceutical companies helping them optimize their sales forces based on market potential data.

Jim also serves as on the executive board and board of directors of the Saving tiny Hearts Society whose mission is raising seed money for grossly under-funded, lifesaving grass roots research of congenital heart defects (CHD’s). This seed funding acts as a bridge for this research to millions of dollars of extramural funding from the National Institute of Health (NIH) or other outside funding. To date, the Saving tiny Hearts Society has provided over $2 million dollars and funded thirty (30) research projects. As an avid baseball fan, Jim is also on the board of directors of the Deerfield Youth Baseball and Softball Association.

Jim holds a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
